The Toonie Rule: When can your windshield be repaired?
It happens to everyone in Antigonish eventually. You're driving down the 104, a truck kicks up a stone, and snap—you’ve got a chip. But do you need a whole new windshield?
We use the Toonie Rule. If the damage is smaller than a $2 coin, we can usually inject a high-quality resin that bonds the glass back together. This takes about 30 minutes and often costs you $0 out of pocket with insurance.
If it's bigger than that, or in the driver's direct line of sight, a replacement is the safest bet for structural integrity.
